The Abu Dhabi Collection consists of four iconic, organic shaped sculptures by Jan van der Laan: ‘ ‘Twisted oval’, ‘Nepenthes’, ‘Filius patri’ and  ‘Elevare’.  The collection is commissioned work for a prestigious project in Abu Dhabi.  All four sculptures have a height op 79 cm and are cast in the finest bronze. Each sculpture is mounted on a round bluestone base. The sculptures are hand finished in a Verdi green patina which looks like it is exposed to seawater for a long time. The patina thus enhances the organic shape of the sculptures and makes the collection into a cohesive whole.
